Los l\u00edderes regionales respaldan una iniciativa para acelerar la producci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda solar, hidr\u00e1ulica, e\u00f3lica y geot\u00e9rmica, reducir la dependencia del carb\u00f3n y recortar las emisiones.<\/p>\n

Una iniciativa a gran escala en toda \u00c1frica, respaldada por todos los Jefes de Estado africanos, deber\u00eda permitir al continente aumentar considerablemente sus energ\u00edas renovables en los pr\u00f3ximos 15 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

En Iniciativa Africana de Energ\u00edas Renovables<\/a> (Arei) planea desarrollar al menos 10 GW de nueva capacidad de generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda renovable para 2020, y al menos 300 GW para 2030, lo que podr\u00eda convertir al continente en el m\u00e1s limpio del mundo.<\/p>\n
