September 16th has been proclaimed by the UN International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer and is celebrated each year by states all over the world.
The last few decades we have witnessed tremendous global efforts to tackle serious environmental issues such as climate change and the destruction of the ozone layer. The efforts have paid in, as was marked in 2015 with the 30th anniversary of the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer. Now the sun’s harmful ultraviolet radiation has been limited from reaching the earth and therefore human health and ecosystems are protected.
Highly conscious of its responsibility towards environmental issues, the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) provides specialized education to Sustainability professionals, in order to support their efforts for a greener planet.
